Hello from Iowa...

Like the title says...Hi from a small town in SW Iowa. I've been in the hobby of armor/figures for over 35 years, taking time away for the teenage years, marriage, kids, etc. I'm looking to improve my figure painting skills, especially with the acrylics in flesh tones. This might be the place to be. So, I look forward to stopping by and checking things out from time to time. Thanks.

Hello Brian, glad you decided to join us! Do not be affraid to ask any questions, even if you think they are simple. This is the place to be for learning various methods, and techniques. A lot of us started with AFV, moved onto figures of all scales.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Dan, I work with 1/35 scale. A good friend of mine does outstanding work with acrylics and that's where I'm headed. I've been painting my guys using "the Verlinden way" forever. Now I'm just going to give this new "style" a big try. I belong to the Omaha AMPS group and used to go to the IPMS Club for many years until they moved to a different location a couple of years ago. I hope to get back into the club sometime this winter. Thanks for the responses.
