Hello, my name is Corrado, i'm 22 from Italy

I started this hobby almost a year ago, helped by some friends (and great modellers)

I painted 6 figures in this period and i'm working now on other 2

I'm still learning techniques and need other time to improve my painting skills, hope you all can help me with this

These are my works (to show you what i did and have your opinions)

....sorry for the bad quality of my pictures....

1) Olaf Tryggvason, El Viejo Dragon, 54mm

2) Italian Lieutenant, Milit Model, 65mm

3) Roman Decurion, El Viejo Dragon 54mm

4) Gral. 1st Army Officer, El Viejo Dragon, 54mm (i used this figure to practise some new technique and oils...not an excellent job, but it was funny to paint it)

Welcome to the Planet, Corrado, and thanks for sharing those pieces with us! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Of these, I really like the decurion the most, I like how his face came out, well done!

Prost!
Brad

Thank you for your welcome!!!

Unfortunately my pictures are of a bad quality so some details, contrasts, and the whole work togheter can't be seen for what they really are.... hope to get better pictures....and obviously to learn more and more about this world and his techniques

Hi Corrado,

Welcome to Planet Figure and thank you for sharing your photos. You're off to a very good start with your figure modelling and I'm sure that as you learn more and ask questions your painting will improve dramatically. The best advice I can give any new member is to ask questions and keep asking questions. Even those of us who have been painting figures for decades can still learn new tricks and improve by asking questions.

Hello Corrado and welcome to PF.
Great selection of figures and certainly a sound base to continue and improve.
Ralph.

if you're new like me i can give you some manuals and videos if you want ;) they helped me understanding most of the tecchniques, even if i can't still use them well ;)

i post this figure here, i finished it yesterday evening...the X MAS figure in 54mm.. it is glossy but i didn't manage to solve this problem even if i used lot of matt varnish vallejo (applied in thin layers)....

i learned how to use glaze technique (i tried for previous figures with no excellent results, but for the next ones i think i can make something better)
