Guys,

A friend of mine got this half built 120mm resin figure from another friend and wish to know the identification:
3464889226_ef5b576be5_o.jpg

- Which manufacturer did this figure
- Is it a Hussar? which colour to use to represent which unit?

The Original was made 2006 by Danilo Cartacci for Pegaso in 54mm. Its available there in white-metal-kitform (mumber 54-224).

It shows the chéf de batallion (Captain) Louis Bertrand Pierre Brun de Vileret (1773-1845), an aide de champ (AOC) of the french Marshall Jean-de-Dieu Soult, Duke of Dalmatia.

Your Figure looks for me like a resin one.

Maybe Verlinden sells a copy?

Greetings

I have to respectfully disagree Martin. This is definately an old Verlinden, as you can tell by the rather stiff pose, the lack of drapery detail (clothing folds) and resin medium. One thing is for certain, it is probably from the early 1990's if not earlier. Perhaps The good people at pegaso were inspired to do their own version, but it is impossible that Verlinden copied their kit from the Pegaso 54mm.

Or maybe the two figures are completely unrelated, both being based on the same (or similar) references. It wouldn't be the first time!

It is Verlinden kit No. 986 120mm Captain ADC to Marshal. As advertised on the back cover of Military Modelling magazine February 1995..... and yes I looked through all the copies I have until I found it :)

Hi Roger!

Can you put please show us a photo of the Verlinden figure?

I have searched on their actually homepage, but have not found.

Can it be that this figure is not sold any more?

And Pegaso maybe a licence has acquired?

Both figures are too similar to believe in a chance.

Thank you!

I'm sincerely thank you all for your valuable feedback and info....

Roger, I also believe it's an old Verlinden kit, but as Martin said, I also cannot find this figure from Verlinden website (maybe it's OOP?), and further go to "evil-bay" too cannot find this particular figure.

So I'll be much appreciate if you can post the images or th box art, need the reference of colour scheme.
