I hope this turns out to be an easily answered question on something I have somehow overlooked.

I bought the Polish movie, Fire and Ice, mainly for the Polish Winged Hussars, but... It is only playing in Polish. Yeah.. I know... DUH!!!

But it is supposed to have English subtitles.

Has anyone purchased the movie that they can tell me what I am doing wrong? Or what their experience has been??

The Special Features section allows you to view info on the actors OR turn the english subtitles OFF but there seems to be no way to turn the subtitles ON.

Anyone???

Thanks,

Kevin D.

PS - I have a source that has the alpha images 120mm winged hussar on a rearing horse... is this a good quality figure? The one Alpha Images figure that I have is nice.

This might be really obvious but is there a Subtitle button on your DVD remote? You can usually flip through them on DVDs using this, if you have one.

Hello Kevin,

Could it be that the correct title is 'With Fire And Sword" (Ogniem i Mieczem)?

It appears that there are so many 'illegal' copies of this title that it would not be impossible that your discs are the original Polish DVDs (sans subtitles) inside a 'Westernised' packaging.

Well, that teaches me to not type fast in frustration LOL

Yes, it is With Fire and Sword.

Einion, There is no such button on my controls. this is the first foreign film I have purchased and I did not think of that :)..... but you got me thinking and I put the dvd into my computer... was able to access english there and... went back to the dvd and hit enough buttons to finally find the english subtitles. Thanks!!! once I knew they were there, it just took a bit of luck to figure it out.

Now, any comments anyone re: the alpha images hussar??

Quang... great thought. I never thought about that but it looks like I got a good one.

Thanks guys!
