Hi. I am still working on my Lucky Jack bust and could use some advise on how to age the gold printers ink I applied. To me it looks way too shiny and needs some "aging". I am not sure what I should do at this point. The printers ink was applied using Humbrol carrier. Please excuse the lousy photo's.

Thanks,

Gary :D

For metal areas I use Humbrol Gloss Black 21. Just add more black until you get the look you want. Same with brodery but instead I use Humbrol Matt Black 33 instead.

Hi again. I guess i should have clarified a bit. I have painted the braiding already with old gold printers ink but it looks to "new". From what I am reading, should I have mixed the ink with yellow ochre or burnt umber or shaded with it afterwards.

Thanks,

Gary
