Greetings
I am looking for a clearer picture showing the 1855 pattern Calvary sword slings when they are linked together when not carrying a sword on them.

Below shows the sword belt and slings in question.

Below shows although a later date the slings being linked but I am trying to find a clearer picture.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for this, I have seen something similar.
I am a little confused if the 'Dog clips' were used on this pattern or
the ends of the slings were passed through the sword rings, folded
over and held together by a stud.

I have lost count of how many times I have looked at these just goes to
show how much notice I took. Because you think you know it and you dont.

Maybe they were fastened together with the stud.... Just a thought!(y)

Hi Steve
I think the end of the long sling was folded over and held by a stud,
the end of the short sling was then passed through the loop created at the end of the long sling and also held by a stud.
I am looking for a close up or other form of conformation.
Thanks
Mick
