OK, I'm trying to get a figure done but need help with the nameplate. Does anyone here have some experience with this? Iv'e found the pic I want off the internet. I have the following photo programs on my computer:

Adobe Photoshop Elements
HP Photo and Imaging
and of course the standard Windows Photo Programs

I'm all ears so if you guys don't mind, help me out. Thanks

By the way, I forgot, I also need to resize the picture as well

Jim,
Some specifics would be quite helpful:
1. what exactly do you want your nameplate to say and look like?
2. what dimensions?
3. what's the figure on the display about?

Perhaps I can be of assistance.

Go to a local shop where they sell sporttrophy's.
Give them your layout, choose the color of the nameplate, maybe you can wait untill it is finished.
It will cost you at least about $5,-

There is quite a bit that could be done with Adobe Photoshop Elements..

do you have a sample and an idea of what you'd like to do with it?

I'm finishing up Andrea's Spiderman figure. Here is the plate I want to use:

Well hopefully it works, I added it to this post. The dimensions of the base are

W= 1 15/16"

H= 1 1/8"

These are the actual dimensions of the front and I realize the plate will be a "lillte" smaller. If the actual picture doesn't work, I'll give a link to the web site I pulled it off of. By the way, now that I have my digital camera, it goes without saying I'll be show you guys my handiwork. Not that it'll be awe inspiring (especially with you guys here!) but I'll show my work that you guys helped me with none the less. Thanks a lot! By the way, I need to have this ready for a show on Sat. at Indiapapolis (?)

Please email me the Spiderman picture you want to use ([email protected]). I have an idea ;) If it works, I'll post the results here and share my notes on how I did it (and I won't even tell you to "buy my book" :) ).

Jim,

I think the only thing you might have to worry about is if it's a 72dpi JPEG file off of the internet. It may not print that well even after some manipulations in Elements.

PS-Pete- I thought your book was on another subject "How I evaded the San Diego Border Patrolman on his bicycle" hardly sounds like a computer graphics study.
