Hi, people of planet figure. I come in peace.
I'm new here. I think I signed up a good while ago already, but just now get to introduce myself. I'm a figure painter from just outside of Vienna, Austria. I mostly paint wargames figures, scaled 1/285 to 1/65 scale (which can be seen here and elsewhere), but in between I enjoy painting a larger figure or a bust. As with most figure sizes or genres I jump between very different ones so much that I don't (or can't) really specialize.
99% of the paints I use are acrylics, but lately I've given oil paints a go again, and for the first time I (despite being woefully inexperienced in their use) I enjoy working with oils.
So I thought I'd sign up to soak up some feedback and sit under the proverbial learning tree a bit to see how I can improve my large scale figure painting (and thus painting overall) with the help of the many amazingly skilled people on here. I also just love a forum. It's just so much more useful than social media.
Looking forward to some useful writin' and readin' on here!
