Highlight and shade on Camo

Hi all, I'm new to this figure painting game, and apart from faces, I have no idea where to start when it comes to highlighting and shading on German WW2 Camo patterns in 1/35.

I'll be using Vallejo acrylics, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Primarily Autumn leaf pattern and Luftwaffe Splinter for Fallschirmjager.

Hi MArtin

I've always done it that I've painted the uniform color, complete with light and shadows, and only then did the camo painted glaze.
The thin color remains light and shadows get. Then one can treat the Camo yet.
Take some practice but it works quite well.
