HOFI, anybody?

Hi all,

I am in a winged hussar state of mind and am working on Almonds piece and the Seil figure but would really like to find the Hofi mounted winged hussar. I know the Hofi quality was questionable at times but this is one I would like to have.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Kevin, as far as I know Hofi did produce a 120mm-miniature of a Polish Winged Hussar in a standing pose on foot. There was another producer (Alpha Image) that did a mounted one in 120 mm. And there was another mounted one by I&E Miniatures in the same scale sculpted by Mike Blank. All these companies are defunct as far as I know.
M-Model from Poland produces a mounted Winged Hussar in 90 mm which seems to be a very nice figure and is still available.
Unfortunately none of the beforementioned kits is part of my collection. Maybe other members can provide you with a kit from their stash or give you an opinion about the quality of these kits.

Hofi had a 120mm mounted winged hussar with lance pointed at a downed Janissary. The 90mm m models is on my radar but i just really liked the pose of the Hofi piece. My skills have improved over time sufficiently to tackle the Hofi now but, of course, they went out of business about two - three years ago. Just hoping someone has one or knows how to reach the Hofi people to get one or something.

Hi,
as far as I know thy are now called CI-FI try finding them that way.I have the mounted Mongol pulling the arrow from a dead russian in my figures for sale list and the box reads CI-FI and I know that it used to be a HOFI kit.Hope this helps you.

ik ben in bezit van ik dacht een 9 tal hofi's
als iemand zin heeft??
we kunnen altijd over een prijsje spreken maar ze moeten alle 9 samen weg.
ik heb veel te veel modellen steken en als ze allemaal nog moet schilderen dan heb ik3 levens nodig.
dus ik kan mijn stock beter verkopen aan mensen die er iets mee zijn.

The I. and E figure was done by Mike Blank but depicts the Hussar in Funeral Dress. It can be seen in Mike's Book on painting Black and White Figures. On release, it had a very limited response, and, as such only a few kits were cast. Ray.
