With Nap's encouragement :), I am back to the hobby. In returning to my bench, I decided to start with a straightforward paint job. No conversions or anything exotic just a simple exercise.

The 75mm metal figure from La Meridiana Miniatures represents a Confederate soldier who survived the Civil War and is returning home to family and friends. One of the lucky ones.

He is painted entirely in acrylics with groundwork done in Magic-Sculpt putty and assorted fake vegetation.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Ken

Judging by what I see,Nap deserves credit for what he did.It would be a shame if all these skills of yours were to be silenced.

Oda.

PS: There is also a certain amount of symbolism for like your Confederate soldier you too returned "home" to your modeling friends and family.

Wonderful figure I hope you enjoyed it and keep the figures coming because this one is great

Cheers Simon

Many thanks Nap, RJ and Wayne and Happy Holidays to all! As I get older (78 in Feb), there are always more physical challenges to face. However, I am still in reasonably good health and looking forward to the hobby and my friends at Planet Figure. (y)

Ken
