Hi Guys ,
We all enjoy depicting the military of whatever nation so now is the time to remember and honour them all both past and present .

We owe them all an immense debt of gratitude , I for one will be remembering all those that have lost their lives in recent and ongoing conflicts in particular those that have made the final journey through Royal Wootton Bassett .

I salute all of you and our thoughts are with those serving in the conflict area's and the familys they have left behind .

On this special day throughout the world :

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Thank you very much from a veteran of the so called cold war and Operation Enduring Freedom (2005-6). And my thoughts are with my brothers & sisters, past, present and future who have worn a uniform and served, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

I agree, there's nobody I have more respect for than a member of our armed forces, a massive debt of gratitude from someone who could never understand the true horrors of war.
11/11/11 is a special day for me and I for one will never forget.

On a lighter note, my son and daughter are making their first remembrance day parade and I'm sure they will make me immensely proud!

Also a friend of mine has just released a book based on his experience during operation enduring freedom and when he got home and was diagnosed with PTSD a truly remarkable guy, it's called "Shellshock" and a £1 from each book goes to"combat stress" to enable them to continue the fantastic work they do!!!

Cheers chaps

Kev,
a sobering thought well versed - very moving tribute, thanks. Have just related the SS River Clyde incident to my form at school, there were tears!

Thanks to those who have served and for those who still remember the sacrifices many have made in service to their country. Today, like a lot if days, I remember my bro Kenny's service as well as every other brother in arms we've lost. Miss you dude.

We remember all those who gave their lives in the pursuit of peace. Rememberance has no regard for race, religion or politics, it is sufficient that they stood side by side in time of need.

I was privileged to be in the presence of Marc Diab's family at our city's Remembrance Day ceremonies yesterday. A true Canadian....thank you.

We know this day is not here in Germany.
This is very unfortunate because many of our great grandfathers gave their lives there.
So I think it's very good that you intend your hero and I silently bow.

Cheers

THEY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

HONOR AND GLORY TO THEM ALL.

May we all live up to their sacrifice.

To Hendryk,
Mein Freund. Alle lander, die schrecklichen kriege sollte das tragen der das symbol des freudens vereint sein. Wir sind alle opfer.

To Kevin, Thank you for this tribute thread which is more important than any other. My thoughts and prayers were with the fallen and the serving on that day.
