Edward, stunning painting, especially like the skin tones, just the right balance for a sun tanned vet.
Cheers Ken

Nice figure! Love the tanned look of the skin tone.
Better lighting can help to show off the figure...

Your work is very striking and beautiful.
I think the skin tone of the soldier who gets a tan is wonderful.
I congratulate completion.

Many thanks for the compliments!

One more photo - just wondering if this'll be better quality..

Hi Edward,
I just spotted this little gem of yours, class work mate!
By the look of things your having my problem, with your pictures?
Are you taking them with a digi compact on macro or an SLR?
Best Regards
Paul

Thanks a lot for your comments!

Paul, it's a new digital - not sure why the pics are coming out grainy..

Hi Edward,
it may be lighting? it may be your macro setting, but your too close? all of the above!
I HATE PHOTOGRAPHY.....Drives me nuts.
One of my kids is at uni,3 years on the subject, and is little help! its the dark art????
Best Regards
Paul

nice work!

the grainy photos .... try and set the ASA on the camera to a lower setting, use a tripod or a stack of books, and use the self timer to take the shot ( stops shake from pressing the button! ) the graining is almost certainly the camera trying to get the exposure it needs by keeping a fast ish shutter speed and ramping the "film" speed.

HTH... oh try about 100 asa, should give a nice result
