Hello everyone,

I have been looking for Swiss Hornblower of Uri 120mm figure. Does anyone has it or knows where to look for it ?

Thanks in Advance

You mean this guy? Sculpted by Mike Blank and originally released by I&E miniatures in the '90s. Very hard to find now unfortunately, it's been out of production for many years and I don't think even Ian knows what happened to the master.

I've got one stripped down in the stash and ready for a repaint, but need to fashion new ears for his hood it as the originals got lost. Not for sale though (sorry).

Yeah that`s the one I am looking for. I know it won`t be easy to find but I will just try to be optimistic though.
Thanks for the reply Steve, I must say that I really do envy you

You never know, someone might have one they're willing to part with, stranger things have happened. I bought mine at Euromilitaire in 1998 and painted it up soon afterwards. As my painting improved over the years, the point came at which I was no longer happy with it so - unable to get a second one - I stripped it down to re-do at some point. I somehow managed to lose the ears in a house move though, which means I'll need to scratch replacements. Good luck with your search anyway.

This was mine just before I stripped it (in case you're interested).

Indeed, there are some. However, they are limited to 54 mm and apart from the bust the United Empire Miniatures offers there aren`t any.
You have done a good job with yours before you stripped it Steve.! Please let me know when you are finished painting it, I`d love to see it!

Don't hold your breath - but will do! And thanks for the kind words. I suppose it wasn't a total disaster. The main colours of his clothing turned out okay-ish, but there was a nasty join line at his right shoulder. The rest however was a bit rubbish. Especially the groundwork. He'll be much better next time.

Elite did a similar figure, but it was only 54mm and is now also OOP of course. I'm not aware of any other full figures of this subject and I'd love to see someone like Pegaso or Romeo take it on and do a nice new 75mm or even a 90mm. I'm sure it would be popular.

I have the 54mm Elite version.
Box is long binned though, as I started it and it was recruited onto the shelf of shame.:cautious:
