Very much and very well Balázs!
I see that " Zlobo's technic " works! :)
If you will allow Balázs - two small remarks?
You the first time model a horse?
It is very pleasant to observe - thanks for trust!
Yours faithfully.

Thank you for all!

Sergey! Sorry, I made a mistake by the writing of your name (Zlobov is the right :) and no Zlobo).
Yes it's my first horse sculpt. Certanly I'm looking forward your comments and criticism. But I must say that I think too, this leg position is not the best one. I didn't see it in the first working phase. Certanly the contur of the body and the legs are from your "book". I have problems by hoofs and eyes.
So, remarks plese!

Balázs

First time horse sculpting?

Hi Balazs,

you show-off you! That is great sculpting. Keep up the brilliant work.

Rgds Victor

Hi Balázs!
It is not necessary to apologize is only a small mistake of the letter .
1. You very correctly statement a pose - look at comparison of photos - 2. Look a nape - at an alive horse this place very "sharp".
3. Also on the third photo you will well see comparison is professional and very competent anatomy of the known sculptor - look and compare. I so do{make} to see the mistakes frequently. ;)
You model a horse the first time - but it is very perspective at you - a more potential!!
Yours faithfully, continue.

Thank you Victor!

Hi Sergey! Thank you. Learning is allways hard. I see the mistakes, I will make the corrections, but before it I will make a resin copy because I'm afraid to make new mistakes. To tell the truth Under the time from the start to this phase I have studied all your writhe's, 2 anatomy book, 2 poto album about horses, and often I couldn't sleep :) Unfortunatly I haven't an own horse. As I see your horses are allways arabian or sport horses, It's right, war horses were very muscular. But I couldn't find photos about two similar horses :( It's very crasy. On some horses you can't see muscles, just lether. But all horses have the same anatomy (or not? :D )
So, I will more learn, but it's much harder as sculpting a human figur, after it is a human just a toy... :D
Regards,
Balázs

Certainly anatomy for all horses identical - a difference in volume and proportions. I also frequently observe various figures painted and I see identical figures but a different sight of artists. Therefore (mine only opinion) to have a sculptural relief on a figure, than to have difficulties for the artist. And the sharp relief on model is quickly lost (vanishes) after the first preparatory paint. Also the relief is lost on a way of all process from manufacturing the form before moulding.
It certainly did not correct and not the law:), only my sight - is better to have a ready relief, than to think out to the artist.;)
Yours faithfully, continue, I do not say goodbye........

"And the sharp relief on model is quickly lost (vanishes) after the first preparatory paint. Also the relief is lost on a way of all process from manufacturing the form before moulding." Yes, it's right. I understand what you want to say. I will continue in this spirit.

Cheers,
Balázs

I am new to the forum but have been an admirer of the great talent here displayed. I will like to know what sculpture book the great Zlobov has opened at his work bench in this link: http://modelsculpt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=110&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

Sergey, I have another question of great importance. There are so many who use many different epoxies. Which one you prefer to begin the sculpture and then which after on top of that? Thank you very much. Hector

Hello Hector!

I studied Sergeys technic on Internet since spring. But I'm looking forward his printed book too.
For begining I prefer Magic-Sculp. It's the best sculpting material for me. For small details Green Stuff. Yesterday I have found here a good link about materials. I will search it!

Regards,
Balázs

Hi Balázs and Hector!
Thanks for your kind words! I tested much various a material for sculptural modelling - but I have great pleasure to work only Magic-Sculp! This material fine all attitudes{relations}. But also I add seldom Tamiya putty (yellow) and Milliput (green) for other additional properties and color.
Hector - I really like to use the way of modelling of a horse frequently - but also I do{make} model of the person and a horse an old way from a leg{foot} a skeleton of a wire. Especially if it is necessary to make a complex{difficult} pose.
I am sorry for the promise to show some fragments from mine
"no books" (sbs!) for a moulding of a head of a horse. Excuse but I have a lot of work and not enough time, but I shall try to show ready pages up to a holiday New Year.
Also in a photo a small fragment of new projects - also the commercial project in development is a separate naked figure of the horseman 75 mm - a dummy for any historical theme. For 54 mm it is a lot of in the world it is made, also exists and for 90 mm and 120 mm - but for 75 mm is not present similar hабота for independent modelling. Probably this variant a horse + the horseman will help my friends to make the new figure of the horseman for a favourite historical theme of everyone. It is my personal project - the first party{set} for test small - 20 sets (kit) the horseman from pitch in January - February 2008.
In a photo it only process and first use of my model for the conversion of other pose - check on suitability!:)
I have pleasure of dialogue with you friends, yours faithfully, I do not say goodbye.

Hi Balázs,
I hope you are well..You mentioned that you have many Sergey's pages. I have been posting questions to him but guess he is busy and not seeing them..I need help as a novice I am still not very familiar with the products. Sergey had a SBS on how to make human armature to mold many figures in a very short amount of time. Do you know how he got the FIMO to be so liquid? Do you know what exactly is the rubber product he used to make the mold (the brown color stuff) and where can I get it? Here's the link to Segey's SBS http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23145

Thanks man, I appreciate your help. Hector
