Hello!

I was allways inspirated by this photo, what was taken at the eastern front in 1944. The Hungarian pilot stand in front of his crashed machine. I think this uniform and the situation looks very good. So at the autum I have sculpted this figure and now I have mould and casted it.

Cheers,
Balázs

Hello Jon!

Thank you! Yes I have asked other Historians about the machine. The color was like this:
http://www.pumaszallas.hu/letoltesek-skinek/ju88/Ju88A4_HUN_B4+18_by-Falkster2.jpg

and the story:
The machine number B1+53
Typ: Ju 88A-4
Squadron: 102/1 Hungarian Bomber Squadron
The pilot: Lt. Péter Bogáti
The machine has fought with Russian fighters in 2nd Juny 1944. And landed so (as on the picture). 2 of the crew has serious, and two not so serious wounded. In books you can find more pictures and memoars from the crew members.

Cheers,
Balázs
