Steve Moore from Shawnee, Oklahoma stopped by the house today and brought with him a Harton 1/9th scale Huron Warrior WIP (work in progress) and while it was here I took several photographs of where he is at with the Huron now.
Steve has removed some of the hair from the top of the head and drilled and pinned feathers to go into the hair. Steve also added a nose ring (hard to see) in his quest to do a different Huron that what everyone else would do.
Above you can see the work he has done to the head and drilling at an angle to place 3 pinned feathers into the hair.
The breachcloth is still in progress and Steve can't decide what color to do the stripes. The beadwork is not finished as the design now has to be painted over the already painted white beads.
The powder horn has been drilled so Steve can place brass headed rivits into the horn for decoration. Also a brass rivit will be placed in the bottom center of the powder horn.
Above is the war axe Steve made from a tooth pick and plastic card. All the weapons and loincloths are pegged to be epoxyed on after the flesh has been completed. He will use sheet lead to make a belt to hold up the loincloth and axe.
