I keep my industrial grade Loctite for my figures in my fridge and it happens to be next to my eyedrops. Guess what happened tonight! And on both eyes too!

Stupid is as stupid does....

Have you had to go to hospital or have you just gone blind? Seen a little kid in hospital in Glasgow. Got superglue on her hands and when her fingers started to stick she cried and wiped her eyes with her hands. I believe it was a terrible job to get her hands off her eyes.

Don

In a field geology class one kid had two eye droppers. One was with eye drops and the other containing Hcl (hydrochloric acid to aid in identifying rocks). You can already guess what happened. Fortunately his vision was saved, but its not what it was before.

Joe

Joe, Don - fortunately I realised it immediately and was able to wash it off.

Helm - I was trying to put some eyedrops in the dark. As i said, stupid is as stupid does.....

Anyway, if the question "What's the stupidest thing you've done?"comes up, I won't have to think very hard.

Steve - recommended by the manufacturer as it keeps longer. Especially as its pretty warm where I am and the glue will start to gel if not kept cool.

So glad you were able to wash it out very early.
If you are going to keep it in the fridge may I suggest you put the superglue inside a plastic cap fixed in with some glue so you cant mix them up due to the increased shape of the new bottle.

Don

That's hilarious...are you serious? Near miss, you could have been in trouble there Mr Magoo! Glad you're OK.

And I thought I had the daft moves record for gluing my tongue to the roof of my mouth whilst trying to get the lid off my superglue with my teeth.....but you clearly win.

When I played Rugby a while back I used a deep heat cream on a sore thigh then promptly shoved my hands down the front of my shorts :wideyed: Not the best move I've made

Steve

WOW... That could have ended much worse!!!!
As to the "heat rub".... I have a seriously baffed up knee from hockey. Someone gave me some kind off "super-deep-heat" gel, which I applied liberally to my knee. Then I put on a wrap, then my knee brace and my hockey equipment and went on the ice. After about two laps of the ice, the burning was so intense, I stripped on the bench (in front of about 400 people) to be greeted with a mass of blisters and cracked skin:arghh:

ALWAYS READ THE FRIGGING LABEL BEFORE USING!!!!!!!!
