Hi. I have an Iwata HP-C Plus and I apparantly didn't clean it properly the last time I used it because I picked it up today and the needle was jammed inside. That was ok, I pulled it out and cleaned it off but now when I push the trigger down (just push it down, not pull it back) fluid sprays out. Normally that would happen if the needle wasn't pushed all the way in, but I pushed it as hard and I dared, and back flushed it as the manual suggests but it still does it. I'm not sure if the needle is properly seated or not but I think it is. Could anything else be causing this? What should I do to fix it?

Thanks very much.

Phil,
it is possible you have some paint build up in the shaft opening that the needle passes through. To make sure you have everything perfectly clean, you might take it completely appart, flush all the parts, and the needle again. I have had to sometimes take a very mild abrasive, say very fine steel wool, and polish the residue off of my needle before. Also you may want to soak some of the tip parts a while in water or a mild solvent to break loose any goo that has acumulated. A thourough cleaning is all it should take to get her back to smooth opperation! HTH,
