Ideas on a skin tone for a fantasy figure

I am about to start painting the Andrea Volgor figure. I want to come up with a color other than green for his skin tone. I was thinking like a molted gray? I think he is an Orc? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I paint in oils.

Rusty, there was a fantastic version posted up here recently that was in a kinda purple-ish skin tone that was really neat. What about a dull brown color with patches of lighter "molting" on him like an Uruk Hai kinda thing. I think a darker flesh color, maybe nearly blackish would set him off. The skies the limit on one of these! Good luck, keep us posted.
