Hi Tony.
I think you have nailed it, colour & pattern look very good to me. Well done great figure.
Peter.

HI, thanks guys for your comments, glad you liked it, ive been putting it off for ages painting the cam, then rob brought this model out so I painted it for 2 reasons really, one was to finally have a crack at it, and secondly my son is out in Canada on excersise with the british army and becasuse he failed his sniper course he has been dicked with the gpmg, hence me painting the stock wooden as the Canadians still use them, but I might change it to a black wooden one, anyway I will post my final pictures once its totally finished, but again thanks, tony

I need to see a couple more pics before I can decide:LOL::ROFLMAO: Seriously, you did a great job on the figure. If you had a different background on the pics, it would probably show your work even better.

Bob

A big thank you to all the guys that have commentated on it, its appreciated, to ADRIAN, firstly thankyou for the best wishes on my 19yr old son, secondly ive taken months to literally go through many companies of paint but I ended up with Vallejo model color, again after weeks of going through the paint and mixing different shades ect I finally came to what I think is near to the multicam, I don't want to give away the colours right now but I will be ready in around 2 weeks time to do a blog on mitches models 200mm special forces figure with maybe a 120mm figure for comparison and the method I used, I think you`ll be surprised, SGT. RED, im unsure wether its the desert cam, my son is serving with the Yorkshire regiment based in warminster, and he has given me literally everything, from boots to ballistic googles, and its what they are using on exercise on Salisbury plain, what I do know there are so many countries using this cam and the difference in cams is vast, saying that it changes enormously within the british army as I have several jackets, trousers shirts ect ect, and they all differ, now my son did tell me they have a summer shade and a winter, now I did copy the colours from the clothing so maybe I used the summer tone ? until my son comes back from Canada I cannot comment, so I have no idea if its the desert cam, I just copied it from the clothing my son gave me, of which I can post if needs be, the only thing I don't have is the night vision goggles but im working on it lol, it is a nice model but I didn't like the left arm the way it is or the links hanging the way they are, hence me extending the groundwork and having him rest on it with the links coming up from the ground, I also drilled out the dump bag and added a draw string with toggle, anyway again thank you for your kind comments everyone, tony

hi , ive now completed the model apart from going to give him a dusting down, after a brief discussion with my son whose on exercise in CANADA, ive now repainted the wooden stock, although he is using a wooden stocked GPMG he`s told me to change it, as you can see ive now represented a plastic one, ive also added the YORKSHIRE flash on his right arm, added the union jack and a flash representing the 12th mechanised brigade, and also added the isaf badge on his chest, ( or the smiley face as my wife puts it), ive also added his name ect just above his GPMG butt, but ive not captured that on the pics, finally ive painted the ammo belt, with every 5th round being a tracer, and that's about it, for me im pleased with the result,

Very nice - but I preferred the wooden stock...just more pleasing on the eye. But a great figure.

Hope to see it on the show circuit.
