My first finished 54 mm. But it was fun to do. With help here on the forum and from my special friend Gino Poppe i was able to finish it. The next one is primed.
I know this is nothing to what you guys do with the painting. Someday I will reached your level is my hope.
But as in AFV building it take some years to reache somekind off level. I will never became a master but advanced is my goal. Maybe over 5 years.
I will reach this level with help from AMSS and all your comments.

So please make some comments. I have comments on other site's but here are the masters.

Greetings and happy painting

Hi Marc
A good start, I have this figure.......Two heads for the price of one.
unpainted. Good to see a version other than the box photo
Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks Frank. That the colours are different then the box art is by accident. I switched the blue and yellow. But there are no reference's off the colors i believe. Correct me iff i'm wrong.
It was nice to paint, but a pain in the ... when glueing together. The arm with the head came a several time's off, and the aks broke, and the arm with the aks came off.
That's why it is not so nice.
I loved painting it. But for the first one, there are many things to improve. That's why i putted here on the planet.

Greetings
Marc.

Hi Marc,
Just paint, and listen to the inner artist in you,
Read my article, Gordy was kind enough to post!
That’s what we are here for "To Help",
If need be e-mail me, I will be by you side.
Happy Painting,
Alex

Marc,

Never say "never". Everyone has to start somewhere. For a start, what I saw in the gallery is neat painting. This is key. All the concepts in the world won't help if you can't paint "within the lines". You have already grasped this and your work shows that.

"I know this is nothing to what you guys do with the painting. Someday I will reached your level is my hope"

And you will, it just takes time and like riding a bicycle, writing, driving, etc it is in reality a skill that is developed over years of practice. The art comes into it when you are planning and conceiving the work. The actual application of paint to figure is a skill that anyone can acheive with dedication, hard work and my favorite line "being your own worst critic". The day that you believe in your mind that you are a master, is the day you are no longer any good. In reality you are not "creating a concept" as you would say in a modern art painting where it's all in your head and you are expressing yourself. A good 2D comparison would be illustration, where the goal of the artist is reality. In the end, what we all seek is something that when photographed for example will look "real" to the viewer.

Practice, Practice, Practice, experiment, practice. In time you will be as good or better than anyone else here.

Lou

Hello Guys,

Sorry I'm late with the reaction but I was painting.
Alex, i have read your article, but iám waiting off your book.

Lou thank for your nice words. Your right. Practice, Practice, Practice.

But I know from myself and persons around me that iám never satisfied with the results i made. So I think iám gonna be learning everyday. I became a member off the AMSS and in two evenings i learn more than in a half year of trying to find the wheel myself.

I see so many lovely figure's I want to paint. But first i had to prove my skills.

For that i need you guys, and please give some critics of my painting.
Than i go with giant steps, and when i walk with small steps, than i now it is time to buy beautiful figures.

Marc.
