In the year 9 AD, the Varus battle

I was inspired by these two 75 mm figures from Mercury Models to put them in a small diorama.

This one is hard to photograph. When seen in real there a much more details like the swampy water, some injuries etc.

Doing the roman shield was quite a challenge. I did several trys with bad results. At last I decided to make myself some printed decals with the outlines of the heraldry and fill them with paint. After some more trys it worked quite well.
