Next month I'm planning to have a go at the Nutsplanet bust of a Native American of the Indian Home Guard, but a few points remain unclear to me, so I wonder if any of the US Planeteers might shed some expert light on the bust as painted on the box. I understand the units of the Indian Home Guard received some standard US uniforms or part of it, but is there any evidence of the ornaments as worn beneath the shoulders and on the breast of the bust? If so, what might they represent? Any help is most welcome.
Cheers,
Pierre

I'm happy to say the people behind Nutsplanet kindly sent me the reference photos they were working from. The bust is based on the following illustration. Has anybody an idea who is the artist/illustrator of this painting?
Thanks for any help,
Pierre
