Indian rifleman in the 1962 Sino-Indian conflict

A big HI to all the planeteers--- I would like to present my latest figure of an Indian Rifleman in the Sino-Indian conflict of 1962.
the rifle was intended to be a SM-lee enfield. He has a standard issue winter headgear (woolen).
material - 2 part epoxy
size-- approx 120mm.

this scratch figure was completed a bit hastily-- in 2 days flat..
the proportions in the figure are not up to the mark as expected and some historical inaccuracies might be present.

Plz do have a look--any comments and crits will be highly appreciated.

My comment is for you to keep sculpting! While your figure is a bit stocky, well...so am I! The small of the stock on the SMLE does not quite look right. But you most definitely have the potential to sculpt very well. Please continue!

Keep working - suggestion - slow down each step and you will find improvement -(that is the advice my Mentor tells me all the time- little bit by little bit -

I have never tried sculpting myself so I'll leave advice on yours to those that know what they're talking about but I do like your choice of subject. It's very interesting and goes to show there's still plenty of good subjects waiting to be portrayed in miniature. Well done.

I echo the sentiments about this being a great subject choice - a conflict that I don't think I've ever seen tackled before. So my compliments.

If only some of the mainstream figure manufacturers would have the courage to stick their necks out occasionally and bring us something really "offbeat" like this, rather than just a constant stream of Romans, Crusaders and Waffen SS (much as I enjoy my Romans, Crusaders and Waffen SS).
