Anyone have a title illustrated by Jonathan Smith already? What are they like up close?

The book is due for publication in March 2006. Osprey will send you advance notice of publication if requested. I've mine "booked"

Amazon.com shows a date of March 28, 2006. Smith has illustrated several of Osprey's Native American titles. The plates are well done with a lot of the figure studies appearing to be based at least in part from photographs. What I like about Smith's illustrations is that the faces are different, while Richard Hooks Native American illustration (though good) all seem to have the same face. Hi Einion, I only have the Warrior 75, "Comanche 1800-74", there is alot of realism in his paintings, I sure you would not be dissapointed by his work, there is a small sample page of Comanche 1800–74 on the Osprey website or you can use the "Search inside this book" engine on Amazon to look some of his work on the Books Gary recommend

I totally forgot about this book I found it yesterday when I was looking for more on Jonathan Smith, Native American Mounted Rifleman 1861-65 (Warrior) by Mark Lardas, Jonathan Smith (Illustrator) the date on Amazon is (May 30, 2006), but until Osprey doesn't make it official, we would have to wait for a confirmation.
