Hello guys
A small vignette from the Scheld operations and the landings on Walcheren Island, operations 'Infatuate I (landings at Vlissingen (Flushing) and Infatuate II (landings at Westkapelle) and in accordance with the Boy and Girl thing...;):D (infatuated...!?)
Royal commando is a standard Alexander Miniatures figure with a modified Hornet head and the girl with the taditional, regional clothing and Jenever bottle is a slightly modified Masterbox figure. (My grandmother is still wearing this clothing today, she's 99!!!)
Rest is scratch and bleufoam for the wall and the streed cobbles.
All painted in acrylics, except the Lee enfield. Wooden parts done with oils.

Denison smock in particular look very nicely done. All round lovely little scene.

(Does his neck stick out a bit too much?)

Prachtig werk Erik.
Mijn schoonmoeder is 91 en draagt ook nog steeds de Arnemuidense dracht.

Bedankt Marc! M'n Oma woont nog steeds in Veere, alleen! (Ben zelf M'burger ;))

Erik,
Excellent little scene and dramatic. Well done and unusual.
Cheers

Thanks John!
Yes unusual, a subject which we don't see that often. I like to give some sence of time and region in my works . Being it magazines, clothing or other time framed/regional tools etc :)
