Hello all,

Finished this one also.
A figure of a brand I can’t identify. Maybe one of the planeteers knows the answer. I bought it horribly painted at a modelhobby fair and stripped it of paint and cleaned and primed it again.
I situated it at the Intifada on the Westbank or Gaza at the end of the eighties.

I was born in 1977, and grew up with the newsreels on the wars and conflicts in the Middle East and Central America in the 80’s. This made a big impression on me, and reflects one of my main modelling interests.

It is painted in Humbrol. This is probably the last figure I did fully in Humbrol. I will give acrylics a try to explore new possibilities for my modelling and painting style.

thanks for watching.

Great painting! I believe the model is by Coelian miniatures, a Dutch producer. To my knowledge he made only two figures, this one and a German WWII. I don't know if it was realy a producer, more an hobbyist sculpting, casting and selling some figure on his own. I think his name is Coellian ten Brink. I hope this helps,

Gino

Thank you all for the likes and comments!

And thanks Gino, for the info. I think you are right. Gert ten Brink owns Coelian models. I know Gert, but didn’t know he produced this one. Mystery solved but I like to know who sculpted it for him.

greets,
RJ

This is what modelling is about - top stuff. (y)

Agree there , the figure works well as it is but could easily be included in a diorama , like the painting particularly the jeans

A simple but effective groundwork
