Hi, Guys,
Still another Fantasy project, this time “Into the Woods” from Michael Kontraros Collectibles.
I went for a ‘driftwood look’ for the head, and in the egg well I added a bit of dried sphagnum moss as natural nesting material to give it a different vibe.
One of the fairy’s wings has an oblong gap that had an incredibly delicate curlicue shape, but this disintegrated when I tried to remove mould ‘skin’ around it. Instead, I used a fine wire to create a filigree within the area. Otherwise the wings have two coats of silver with a spirit-thinned artist’s oil verdigris colour for effect.
Various fungi painted in fairytale colours.
Resin base from Model Display Products.
Cheers!
