This is obviously some Scottish euphemism I have no desire to discover the real meaning of :nailbiting:

When I mentioned men in red coats Stu, I was thinking of British soldiers in red coats!
Simply wonderful sculpt, I think its the best I have seen from Carl and the paintjob by Ernest is superb.
Amazing work by them and a fabulous bust for you.
Superb work indeed Stu.

See you Friday night or early saturday.

Steve, and God so loved the earth that he sent his dearly beloved son to live in Govan and thats when the trouble started!!

I'm going to tell you anyway ;) . It's an expression of excellence with it's roots in the 16th century or earlier. Bishop Leslie in his Scotia Descriptio of 1578 says the parish of Govan in Glasgow got its name from the excellence of its ale (God-win), ..so...Good Ale (God-win) in Govan (God-win)
I've got another explanation that relates to the God particle and the Glasgoow Subway...but that requires the audience to be drunk :D

Del has forgotten to mention God sold his share in Govan at the Barras in the late 50's and moved to a nice wee flat in the Gorbals. The Govan Ale ran out and was replaced by the nectar known as Buckfast. The current residents of Govan wander round in a zombie like state, muttering "see you Jimmy" and congregating round Elder Park swapping Giro related stories.

Neat looking subject guys, but something is amiss with that left eye. Is it painting or sculpting?
Yep I know shouldn't be a major to fix up, especially with such a dramatic sculpt overall.

For your consideration.

Hi Mike,

Its hard to say. It could be in the sculpt!
It could also be Ernesto has misread the eye line!
It could also be a slight pull on the mould.
Its a very simple repair if it in the piece. just a tiny flick with the scalpel and its done!

Here is picture of the master. Maybe this will offer a explanation.
