Hello guys,
This is my last figure 1/35 realized.

The Modena Brigade gathered the 41st Infantry stationed in Savona and the 42nd Infantry stationed in Genoa.

The 41st was used throughout the conflict earning the Silver Medal for Military Valor for standing out on several occasions until the final victory.

Our Corporal of the 41st Savona is set in the eastern sector of Mount Grappa posing in front of a walkway during the spring of 1918.

Wear the uniform mod. 1909 for graduates and troops.
The one-breasted jacket of a heavy gray-green cloth was produced in 9 sizes and 33 undersets, in order to be wide and comfortable. The trousers were in light cloth of the usual color.
Regimental shields in magenta color with stars on the collar of the jacket
On the "sausage" shoulder pads black rectangles were sewn with a blank company number. Corporal grades were sewn over the hand guards.
Wear the metal helmet mod. Adrian 1915 with crown and number stamped in black paint.
the ammunition holders in leather mod. 1907 was painted in gray-green.
Use boots for mountain troops also adopted for infantry since 1916.
The main weapon was the rifle mod. 1091 Mannlicher-Carcano cal. System 6.5 mm. equipped with bayonet.

The figure in 1/35 is from Cix Models. I replaced the head with another Hornet, I added a mustache, the strap on the Adrian helmet and a small stucco strip between the printed shoulder strap and the hand to conform it properly.
The Carcano rifle Mod. 91 will be fixed at the end with a small pin on the back of the infantryman and the addition of a lower portion of shoulder strap in lead sheet.
Two other important small details to apply, the buttons and the little stars of the insignia placed on the collar of the jacket mod. 1909.

Thank you guys,
it's always a lot of fun trying to recreate very realistic and historically reliable figures.
:)
Lovely subject and neat learning about your history with this one Maurizio.
Especially like inclusion of groundwork - goodness I miss doing bases ;-)
Thanks for sharing.
