Italy Post is a Nightmare

I placed an order £150 in April with an Italian Manufacturer......nothing arrived. The Manufacturer and I both gave up chasing Italy post and he kindly send a second consignment. The first parcel has never arrived having travelled no further than Bolognia

I ordered three figures from one of the Italian Club sites, the figures arrived within a week via a carrier not Italy Post. Unfortunately one of the figures needed two replacement swords and the club posted replacements to me....never arrived.

Finally I ordered a £150+ of goods from Pegaso in August, I have a tracking number which elicits no response and Pegaso have so far failed to respond to a message sent last week.

I am now resolved to order nothing from Italy again. I seem to remember that in my days of using Ebay I had so many difficulties with parcels being lost in Italy that I put them on my prohibited list.

No wonder their economy is in a mess. I feel sorry for the Manufacturers trying to run a business.

If I may suggest Keith...if spending that sort of money...I would pay for courier collection and insured delivery...have a look at 'Parcel2Go'

I've never had a problem with Italy buying or selling, although stuff from there does tend to take a bit longer to arrive. I have heard bad things about the Italian postal service (or lack thereof) though, so maybe I've just been lucky.

The previous role that I worked in, we shipped quite a few things to Italy, yes I did have the odd one go missing or stolen... But France was my headache, packages always getting returned or missing. Worst thing was all of them had tracking number and they never could locate them.

Hi Ron, unfortunately it was Pegaso's choice to use Italia post and everything that has gone missing has been through them in spite of tracking numbers. Another order I placed from a club site was by a private courier and arrived in 6 days.
