It helps a modeler avoid taking the missus' pasta mill out of the kitchen, thereby helping to preserve domestic tranquility :D

Prost!
Brad

I liberated a crock pot from the kitchen for modeling and science purposes. I still hear about when she spots it in my work area (which she's discouraged to enter, I've trained Coco the Wonder Terrier to bark at her if she comes in. It's really funny to me.)

Oh yeah, polymer clay "creatives" have always used pasta machines. My little niece uses two rulers glued to a board and an acrylic roller to achieve the same constant thickness (which I thought was pretty inventive of her. I'm gonna steal that idea once I get to making Milliput clothes for my figures).

I just don't know how I survived with out getting this before !!

...Oh yes ......I use my ex's little acrylic rolling pin .........best thing I got from the divorce ...LOL

Now if someone could invent a two-part epoxy putty mixing machine, it would save my arthritic fingers and thumbs. Not much to ask, is it ? :ROFLMAO:

Yes , It's too much to ask in todays world. If you're a geezer like me; you must knead and pull with your arthritic fingers, just like when you get out of bed when you gotta take a leak.
Just wait till you get to be my age.

For larger amounts I spread out the two components and place one on top of the other.
Then I cut them in half and put one half on top of the other (that's four layers)
A gentle squash spreads the layers out, and repeat the cut etc.
By the time you've repeated the cut and place nine times, you've achieved over 1000 layers. One more and it's over 2000 layers.
Finish off by rolling in the edges and losing the tiny amounts of unmixed parts with some gentle kneading.
And Robert is your father's brother.

Cheers,
Andrew

Kinda like when you're in a catholic church. And the priest is up there on the podium or whatever you call it. And he goes through all the gyrations with his hands, and you can't hear a word he says but you see his hand movements. This is what he really says.....
"Give me pizza"....."Cut it in four"......"Pizza for everyone"!!!!!........
Lord forgive me,
Wayne

Alan...... don't be blowing smoke about age.....I'm not that far behind you. Now, when I say keep up the good work; I'm not only complimenting a well done piece of paintwork; I'm complementing myself every time I take a leak and don't hit the floor...or don't forget to lift the seat. I try very hard not to get busted using the kitchen sink while the wife is on the bowl. Gotta go? you gotta go....
