Good day everyone! These are my recent works, a couple of versions of painting the Ivan figurine.

Ivan Grozny (Ivan the Terrible). The inspiration was the beautiful sculpture of Antokolsky. The sculpture, molding, casting and painting are mine. Scale: 1/20 (90 mm). Painted with acrylic (AK and Polycolor) and tempera (Masterclass).
This version of the throne painting is as the throne is decorated with carved ivory plates.

Hi Olga

Amazing detail painting , your skill at patterns is such a pleasure to see and admire

Really like the ivory throne but your treatment of wood is equally as good

Looking forward to seeing more

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

The sculpting and the painting are absolutely spectacular!!!! I had no idea that the Russian Imperial Eagle was already in use by the time of Ivan Grozny.

Oda.

-The double-headed eagle as a coat of arms appeared in Muscovy even earlier - under Ivan 3. After marrying Sophia Palaiologos, the niece of the last Byzantine emperor, he announced that Muscovy was now the successor of Byzantium and appropriated its former coat of arms. Which was very presumptuous.
Unfortunately, this beautiful sculpture depicts an eagle of a later version - the time of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. But, of course, we will not criticize the author for this.(y)
