Having finished a Tamiya 1/48 scale Japanese A6M3 model recently, I decided to paint up the pilot figures that came with the kit. It's an older model - released in 2010, but the detail on the figures was very nice in my opinion. primed in Tamiya acrylics, the figures were finished using Vallejo acrylics.
Cheers,
Gary

Very nice work Gary in such a small scale, I find 1/35 challenging enough! The figures complement the aircraft beautifully, definitely well worth doing.

Thanks for that, Nigel. This model sat on my shelf for years before I decided to pull it down and finally build it. Mostly as I'd invested in a number of "Zero" colour paints when I tried to do a 1/32 scale A6M2b. The kit was a joy to build and I wish I had another - but the "stash" needs to be built first. Well, I keep saying that...but...

This is impressive work. Very nice mate. Excellent detail. Figs are great.

What do you use for your photo backdrops. Namely the ones showing the figs? Looks great

Thanks, Rocco82. I use a Flotone graduated backdrop from black to dark blue purchased from B&H Photo in New York USA.
Cheers,
Gary
