All,

In case anyone is interested, Jeremie Bonamant (see bio below) is offering painting classes in various cities during a stateside tour. I have contacted Arthur (Frenchkid on CMoN) who posted the original notice and am acting as the liaison for the Washington DC Area. If any of you are interested in attending this three day painting class from one of the French Masters, please contact me directly. I am compiling a master list of participants and we will accept up to 24 students on a first-come, first-served basis. So far I have 8 signed up.

We are planning two classes of 12 students each (we may up this to 16 depending on demand). Each class will be held at Dream Wizards in Rockville, MD (www.dreamwizards.com). The cost is listed as $150 per student. I will provide more details as I get them.

Jeremie Bonamant is a world renowned miniature painter who specializes in Fantasy and Science Fiction figures in the 28-30mm range. His work has won international acclaim at such venues as the French Golden Demons sponsored by Games Workshop - France, as well as the UK Golden Demons. Jeremie is a talented painter who specializes in acrylics. He recently was a featured artist in Figure International magazine (issues 15 and 16) for his Grallapoussah de Barback. Hi!

Two colleagues and I have organized a painting class with Jeremie last may in Montreal. Frankly it was a huge success. The students included Golden Demon winners to people who had first picked up a brush 6 months before the class. The feedback were unanimous in how the class had provided an opportunity for all the participants to improve their skills. If you have the chance to attend such an event take it. Jeremie's pedagogical approach has been developed and refined throughout his previous experiences. His knowledge is sound and he has no difficulty in transmitting it in clear and simple terms. If you find the price a little steep I challenge you to find any other classes on three days for cheaper. It is a wonderful experience offered to you. Grab it while you can.
