Hi all,

included I post some pics of the only figure I was able to finnish during 2023. It's an Alpine figure, still among the best out there, and an Hornet head. Everything was painted using acrylics, inks and some weathering products by Ammo and AK.

I would love to hear what you think of it and all tips and tricks are more than welcome, also on how to take better pictures

Best wishes,

Gino

That's very nice. The face looks great!
The basing is on point too. Lovely detail

.

The photos aren't too bad actually. Could maybe do with a bit of a sharpen. And the background is a bit distracting. Something I struggled with for a while still do!
But I've used a product from Green stuff world to get a really black background. Maxx darth backdrop.
However I seemed to have lost it.

You can get plush velvet. Cuts of it from Etsy. Used for upholstery. That absorbs light quite well.
The black and 'duck egg grey' works quite nice.

Hi Gino

I agree with Colin’s comments , nicely done , perhaps the mud effects could be a little less but that’s a personal view

The face makes him look battleworn which is great

Really impressive base work

Thanks for sharing

Looking forward to seeing more

Have fun @ the bench

Really like this, being Alpine he's 1/35th scale so you have packed a lot of detail into a very tight space. The dirt is great IMO as he's not going to be able to clean up between marching and skirmishes etc, love it.

Cheers Simon

Hi guys,

thank you very much for looking and commenting, it means a lot to me. I love to paint my figures with a lot of weathering. I was a bit hesitant to add this much mud, but he had to lay down just one time and he would be covered in mud. As he's a soldier in action on the Russian (muddy) front, I felt it work and I think I will be doing something like this.

Thank you very much,

Gino
