Bought this figure at SMC in September and couldn't wait for painting this. It's the new bust from Jon Smith miniatures and depict a German Snapper from the 5th Sturm-Btl from 1916.
Winter was in that year very cold and with alot of rain and snow. I try to paint the feeling in that winter on this young man coming back after a raid to the enemy, crawling to the mud.
Size of the figure is 75 mm. Painted totally in oils.
Every comment good or bad is welcome.

Nice work Marc, like the weathering and the look of exhaustion/hopelessness you've managed to portray. If you don't mind me asking, what oil mix did you use for the Uniform?

Well I think you did a bang up job on this excellent sculpt Marc. The soiling you applied is realistic and places him in appropriate environs. Well done Sir (y)!

It looks amazing, very credible, real feeling of horror and dirt and hopelessness. I just got goosebumps ...

Cheers Borek

An amazing piece of work, Marc. The feeling of hopelessness, and weariness is captured in this one. Excellent!
