In fact this figure represent an Arditi

After Pegaso news from Italy, the Vignette from ALLARMI, and this figure, June is really Italy month ! Hope it will not be the same for the Euro (France will normally win- we paid for it -) !!!!

This sapper from "death companies" were sent out of the trenches to cut their way through enemy barbed wire.
So the item is a Barbed cutting pliers.

I remember having the old Benassi figure (Probably boxed up somewhere) which created lots of interesting comments at the time. Didn't have the delicacy of this one, which is lovely.
