Carl Denham: "No, it wasn't the airplanes... It was beauty that killed the beast."

A huge 22" 3D printed sculpture by Tony Cipriano, painted in acrylics from Scalecolor and Mission Models, along with a touch of printer's inks and pearlescent craft paint, airbrush and brush. The film is one of my all time favorites, so painting this was a blast. Ann Darrow (Fay Wray) comes in at about 75-80mm, but Kong is correspondingly gigantic :)

Terrific, did you get permission to display it in the living room.? Really like this, especially love how it's based on the original.

Cheers Simon

Nicely done lol.

If she's 75mm then yeah that is one huge ape!

Reminds me the Chewits advert :)

Hi Matt

Now that’s MASSIVE , fine work on the ape , love the eyes , being so big ..but in scale must have been challenging to paint

Lovely work on lovely Faye ...nice work on the hair and the painting of the dress
