Hello All!

To show that I sometimes paint a figure and do not only sculpt, here is a KING OF THE DEAD from Grenadier Master Class. It is a kit from the 80ties, cast in pewter (high quality casting!) and ultradetailed! Sadly, this kit is no longer available (to my knowledge). It is painted in "old fashioned" oil- and enamel colours with several glazings and washings. Only the base is not finished yet Hope you all like fantasy figures!

I have used a product called INSTANT RUST. It´s a grey colour with metall pigments in it and an clear Activator which you brush over the gey colour. You can look when it rusts! It is real rust, no weathering technique!

Thanks, Maurizio, for the compliment! Let me ask you, if there is any possibility that you will sculpt some day a fantasy figure?

Frank

Christos, thanks! And yes, these rust effects looks impressive, but one have to take care not to overdo it. But all those weahtering techniques are fine and very interesting, and you can add a lot even on a modern day figure!
