Ant Miniatures
Russian Warriors Second Half 9th Century
54mm white metal
11 parts
4 photographs

Vik, of Ant Miniatures, was kind enough to send me their 54mm kit of 2 Russian Warriors that form a vignette of 2 warriors examining their treasure at their feet.

The kit was comprised of 11 parts and also came with 4 photos showing various views of the painted figure.

The kit comes in a small cardboard box with each segment in an individual bag.

The kit is made up of 2 figures and a round metal base with seperate accessories that attach to the base.

The figures are excellent in detail and when dry-fitting each part they fit perfectly.

I took many close-ups and this one turned out the clearest showing the warrior with his helmet up and set back on his head.

In conclusion I find this an excellent kit of the Russian Warriors or even Eastern Vikings and a must for either collector.

Guy, Though a little hard to see, it looks like a nice kit. it might be mad a bit better by altering the one Viking's head so he looks more like he's sharing in the admiration of the loot his friend is holding. Thanks for posting.~Gary

This is the figure I refer to in other post as waiting on from Ant. Do you know of any delays in the distribution as item was ordered in Jan, when orders of others from Korea England and Australia have already arrived when placed after. I have contacted them and they have sent confirmation as late as this SAT as item has shipped. Also when trying to order this figure online thru CCNow you get an error. After contacting them, was told to just order another kit of equal value and write in the notes as to the kit I wanted. This whole process sounded fishy but naive little me obliged. So in the end this is a heads up to everyone as I'm still waiting on an outcome. Ill keep you posted of my luck.

David, anything I have gotten out of Russia has taken up tp 5 to 6 weeks. Vik sent this Jan 16th and I got it Feb 24th. With other companies I have ordered from in Russia it takes longer than we are used to. When I order from Korea or Japan it usually takes 5 to 7 days.......go figure.

I have friends in the Ukraine and their regular mail takes 5 to 6 weeks to get here. I don't think it is Ant's fault as it is their postal system there.

For those interested the kit arrived today, and was the correct kit. The kit is fine as a whole, one thing I'd mention is the figures are very linear and thin. I can see the vignette already with about 4 to 5 others standing around a trading post situation with all sorts of goods and wares about, Hell they would fit into my current project.
