Introduction
Well we all know that Pegaso is one of the leaders in figure producing. But when I saw that they released a 75mm Napoleonic figure I was really surprised. I was even more surprised when I heard that Maurizio Bruno is the sculptor. And I did not get dissapointed when I saw the finished figure. Follow this review and you will understand why.
Historical Notes
The light cavalry was the 'vigil eye' of the Armed Forces on campaign. Hussars, light cavalry and lancers were all adventurous soldiers dressed in uniforms of the latest fashion dazzling the ladies of that period. Swift, impetuous and bold mounted on their medium size horses, the light calalrymen moved rapidly alongside the marching column with duties to explore the terrain always ready to engage in skirmishes with their elegant counteparts and adversaries.
In 1811 the French light cavalry constituted 30 regiments of deployed tacticallyas mounted voltigers, swift and mobile, excellent swordsmen and capable of accurately firing their carbines whilst seated in their saddles. Characteristic of the light cavalrymen were the Hussar uniforms of a green color (similar to chasseur). The high leather and felt shako had the dual function of protecting the head of the soldier from saber blows and at the same time elevating the stature of the cavalryman with the help of the multicolored plume and fluttering cords and braiding. True dandies of campaign, these superb cavalrymen left their signature on the epoch as brave soldiers wearing splendid and colorful uniforms
Note: The historical background is taken from Pegasos leaflet and the research is from Marco Giuliani.

Quality and Detail
To be honest I was not expecting anything less from what I saw as soon as I opened the box. The classin quality of Pegaso was there along with an awesomely detailed figure from the Master Maurizio Bruno. Delicate pieces full of detail and also an exceptional drapery.
Dry fit test showed that all the pieces were perfectly into position and no assembly problems were shown.
Also there are almost none seam lines, so minimal cleaning is required.
Painting
This one is a quite difficulte figure for painting since there are lots of silver laces braiding. Also the reds need some extra attention so you can get the maximum of this excellent figure. Defenately patience is your friend here in order to get the best result possible, which defenately pay you back for the hours that you will spend.
Conclusion
That's defenately on of the best 75mm Napoleonic figures you can find on the market which surely reward even the most high demanded figurers.
Highly Recommended
