Can be painted any coat of arms you wish for 11th cent early 12th cent, because the name Order of St John appeared in 1888 and there is NO order of templars during the first crusade, founded in 1129 to protect pilgrims, not to go to battle, mostly peasants soldiers and some low titled noble whose have no future, they were proposing to pilgrims to transport the money for a heavy fee 20% +, their "home office " was the " Temple" a building in Paris, the street was even called Rue du Temple, even today when people say they go Rue du Temple, is meaning that they want to lown money, so badly, at any cost
