Knight XIV Century

Dear Planeteers,
this is my first figure of 2024: a medieval knight by RP Models. It's a limited bust (150 copies) and was a blast to paint. RP Models advertises that their products have "revolutionary details" - and that's not an exaggeration. It a perfect fit and hardly any preparation work is required. I was very much impressed with this bust and I am looking forward to paint the next one out of their range.
The checkerboard pattern was not easy to paint, but I am very happy with the result.

Fine work. Looks tremendous. The chequer board pattern is excellent. Hard work has paid off!

An excellent looking sculpt, One I've seen before and been really tempted to do. I think there is one in a different pose with a flag irc though.
But yeah nice models from RP.

That’s just FINE painting , liking the armour work but that checked work is so so neat ......did you use tape to get like that or is it all freehand lining ?

I did a lot of taping and some freehanding. It is remarkable how well our human eye is able to spot if something doesn't line up and looks odd. No more checkerboard pattern for me in the next couple of months!
