Hi,

This is another project I started, because I want to practice with the Beesputty and to try my first human sculpt :)
I choose this interesting subject, the Bulgarian ruler Krum, nicknamed "The Fearsome". He is most famous for ambushing and destroying a large invading Eastern Roman (aka Byzantine) army at Varbitsa pass (or known as the Battle of Pliska), with the emperor Nikephoros I perished himself, after that his severed head was silver plated and turned into drinking cup and Krum used it to drink with his nobles at feasts. Also he created the first code of laws in Bulgaria.

This will be my interpretation how he looked, he will hold the Nikephoros's skull in the right hand, the left will rest on his sword, attached to the belt.
He will be dressed in decorated "kaftan", a robe probably of Iranian origin, but very popular in Europe also. The leather boots are high to the knee and slightly pointed at the front, with some decorations on them.
On the head there is diadem, I will add jewelry later.

Here is one artistic image of him:

I hope it will be interesting, cheers!

I reworked the head slightly, without crown, the work is baked and I'm starting the kaftan.

The sword will be slightly curved (more like cavalry sabre), like this replica of the Varbitsa sword, dating to VII-VIII century:
