Evening all

Just finished this fella (There's also a thread showing some work in progress shots for those interested)

Approximately 60mm high and cast in resin. The casting wasn't the best if I'm honest, but the pose and face are excellent. Once I'd decided to press on with it I really enjoyed it (which is kind've the object of the exercise isn't it?)
I didn't like the musket hanging over the shoulder which seemed like it was bound to pitch him onto his face no matter where it was fitted so I carved off the strap and made good with putty. I also altered the anatomy of the chest and shoulder areas slightly and added a new top rail to the fence to give him a proper obstacle. Painted in acrylics (as well as my usual Vallejo and Andrea I've started to use the new Scale 75 tube paints which I really like)
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul

Great bit of putty work on this fellow ...removing the musket was a good idea

Nice painting as always ..I have the S75 tube paints ( excellent service from Steve Kirtley ) and really like them

Yes big guy - I couldn't see the musket working. When I first saw the images I assumed it was for extra support, but having got the figure it was pretty clear that a long rod into the arm would work just as well so off the musket went into the bottom of the spares box ;)
Glad you like the paints too (Save a lot of wrist ache . . . .er that could be taken slightly the wrong way. What I meant was all that vigorous shaking about ) Ahem -Yes they do go on nice and smoothly don't they :D
