Raphael (Raffaello Sanzio) was the genius of Italy's High Renaissance and one of the greatest influences in the history of Western art.

The Portrait of a Young Woman, also known as La Muta, depicts an unknown noblewoman over a near-black background and is ranked among the best portraits by his hand.

Only recently attributed to Raphael, it shows some strong influences from Leonardo Da Vinci.

PiliPili brings us another outstanding Museum Flatz in the form of La Muta, painted by Raphael around 1507. Again, a near flawless casting in resin.

Another great addition to the Museum series. I am working on the Van Der Wyden piece right now, and look forward to getting into this one soon. Copying the masters is a traditional method of learning to paint, and Quang has given us the chance to learn from some of the best.
