Hi Guys,

Im posting this here, as Im almost done. I just need a bit of touching in here and there and the nameplate adding.

Following in my family theme, this is based on a pic of my uncle Bill, when he rejoined the Navy at the outbreak of the Second World War. Not a true portrait, more of an inspiration!

Sculpted in Miliput and Duro, 1/9 scale, painted in Vallejo. Sorry about the pics - Im getting some odd results due to the weird light from the snow!

Thanks for looking in, (y) IMG_8180.JPG IMG_8181.JPG IMG_8183.JPG IMG_8184.JPG IMG_8185.JPG

That's great mate , love the face full of character , nice painting as well and a great tribute to a family member

I said it at Bugle Call but wish the Signals bust was available and now adding this to tge list ...nice sculpting

Thanks for sharing .

Why not put sonething into FOTM as well !

Very nicely done. Red badges on square rig no longer exist - it's gold only and square rig counts as No. 1s these days. I've been meaning to do a 200mm figure of a sailor in Guard Order, but I doubt there's a market for such.

Season's greetings to all.

Mike

Thanks for the comments, guys - Im glad he passes muster!

Richie - my uncle Bill always considered himself to be the luckiest guy alive, due to the fact that he had just gone on watch and his mate, Ginger had returned to his bunk, when the ship was hit by a torpedo, right where their bunks were. Ginger was killed outright.

Im sure there were many other such stories.(y)
