Legends Miniatures – Dark Elf
1/10th scale resin
Sculpted by Pablo Sapia
Painted by Jose Hernandez
8 resin parts

I received 2 busts from Elite Miniatures right after Christmas and was pleased upon opening this one, the quality of the casting and the attention to detail Pablo Sapia has rendered into this fantasy subject.

Coming in the same quality packaging that the Parent company Elite provides us the bust was sandwiched between 2, ½ inch layers of foam. The small colar parts as well as the hands and pig tails were inside a small sealed envelope to ensure against loss.

The bust is comprised of 8 resin parts and in this case, all seam free with no clean-up required. Dry-fitting the parts showed all parts fit snuggly in their appropriate place.

The main part of the kit, the bust, is well cast with no seam lines. I was amazed to see the crispness of detail that this figure has.

I decided to use some of the close-up photos from Legends’ web site to better show the detail in the hair braids as well as the hands.

Each part is thick enough to be pegged from the back side, painted and then attached to the finished bust.

Conclusion

I have found this to be an excellent casting of supior quality and would recommend it to any fantasy painter / collector

Guy many thanks for the great review. Somehow I missd this one! I have had my eye on this one for some time now and have never been moved to purchase. I will definitly have to get my grubby little hands on this one the next time I'm over for a closer look Guy. This review has definitely sparked new interest for me in this piece! Just might have to pick one up myself........Thanks,
